MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

It’s been home to hundreds of weddings over the years, but the wedding this weekend in the chapel at Graceland will be a first for the landmark.

This weekend, the chapel will be the site of the wedding ceremony for Ray Leitschuh and Larry Martin—the first same-sex couple to get married at Graceland.

The couple has been together for 15 years.

They were also the first ever same-sex couple to get a marriage license in Fayette County, Tennessee.

But what would the King of Rock and Roll think? WMC Action News 5 asked fans visiting the mansion.

“I don’t know how Elvis would appreciate that. I really don’t,” Alvin Shortridge of Oklahoma City said. “I really don’t think he would.”

Minnesotan Bobbi Roe had a different opinion, laughing as he commented “I don’t think he would care.”

“I have no idea to be honest. I don’t know, maybe times would have changed by now. Maybe he would have been fine with the change,” said Elvis fan Sean Finnegan, visiting all the way from England.

The exchange of vows is set for Saturday afternoon, making it a first for Graceland and a first for these Elvis fans tying the knot.
