BATESVILLE, MS (WMC) -

A social media push is hoping to help teachers and students at Batesville Elementary School.

Friday night an electrical fire engulfed the school and left it in ruins.

Inside the building, teachers had been preparing for the upcoming school year. Now, all of their preparations are ruined.

To help the teachers, and ultimately the students, hundreds of people are stepping up with donations.

If you're interested in helping out, you can drop off supplies at Oxford Middle School between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. any day from now until July 31.

If you have any questions about what is most needed, call 662-234-2288 or email Jill Knox at bjknox@oxfordsd.org.
