Here are some of the stories we're working on for you this morning:

Memphis police are on the hunt for a man who attacked a Memphis gas station clerk overnight. Officers say the man hit the clerk several times in the head after being told to leave the Exxon at the intersection of Union Avenue and South Cleveland Street.

This morning...Memphis police need your help to catch a man wanted for a burglary at the Holiday Inn Express on Union Avenue in the Medical District. We'll show you his picture so you can help police track him down.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer involved shooting with 19-year-old  Darrius Stewart. The family is holding a vigil and say the 19-year-old was mistaken for someone else, but in cell phone video you see him try to attack the officer. The latest from investigators and family members on WMC Action News 5.

A Mid-South Police officer hit by a car is listed in critical condition. Investigators in Helena -West Helena, Arkansas say one of their own was hit around 9 last night. Police say the officer was standing next to a wrecker towing a stolen vehicle when a vehicle hit the officer.

Two new non-stop destinations will soon be flying out of Memphis International Airport. The announcement is coming this morning will all the details.

FBI investigators are analyzing writings by Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez. It may help explain why the accused gunman opened fire at two military sites in Chattanooga, Tennessee, leaving four Marines and one sailor dead.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is giving Mississippi National Guard members more protection, after last week's deadly attack in Chattanooga. He's signed an executive order which will allow certain members of the military to arm themselves. What this means for military bases in the Magnolia State, this morning on WMC Action News 5.
