MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man shot by a Moscow police officer after an aggressive confrontation was charged with attempted second degree murder, DUI and evading arrest.

According to Fayette County investigators, Mark Lullen was arrested Monday.

In April 2015, a police officer in Moscow, Tennessee saw Lullen weaving along Highway 57 and driving under the speed limit. After he pulled Lullen over, he found that the 61-year-old had active warrants out of Hardeman County.

According to the report from the TBI, when the officer tried to arrest Lullen, he put his car in reverse, hitting the officer with his door. Then, he drove the car forward, directly towards the officer. That's when the officer fired a single shot through the windshield, hitting Lullen in the shoulder.
