City of Memphis closes streets to accommodate TV production

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Several downtown streets will close intermittently Thursday through Monday while crews work on a television production.

According to City of Memphis officials, crews will shoot scenes on or near South Main Street, McLemore Avenue, Court Avenue, Union Avenue, Second Street and Poplar Avenue.

Drivers are asked to please avoid the areas during filming. The sets are closed to the public.

The street closings will more or less adhere to the following schedule:
 

Thursday, July 30                      6 am – 1 am                G.E. PATTERSON AVE from FRONT ST to SECOND ST

Saturday, August 1                    6 am – 10 am               E. McLEMORE AVE from NEPTUNE ST to CUMMINGS ST

                                                8 am – 6 pm                WILLIE MITCHELL BLVD from TRIGG AVE to OLIVE AVE

                                                4 pm – 9 pm                COURT AVE AT THIRD ST

Sunday, August 2                      8 am – 12 pm               POPLAR AVE from FRONT ST to MAIN ST

                                               10 am – 6 pm                SECOND ST from JEFFERSON AVE to UNION AVE

           

                                               2 pm – 9 pm                UNION AVE from RIVERSIDE DR to SECOND  ST

                                              7 pm – 12 am               MONROE AVE at DANNY THOMAS BLVD

Monday, August 3                   7 pm – 4 am                 POPLAR AVE from ANGELUS ST to N EVERGREEN ST

Officials asked drivers to also note "No Parking" signs on these streets while crews work on the production.
