The Memphis Grizzlies introduced new forward Matt Barnes on Tuesday morning.
Barnes came to Memphis in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets during the draft period. The 35-year old averaged 10.1 points and four rebounds per game, while shooting 36.2 percent from three and making a career high 136 threes for the Los Angeles Clippers. Barnes' three total was higher than any player on the Grizzlies.
Barnes is also known for his volatile temper on the court, something the Grizzlies are welcoming. Head coach Dave Joerger expressed that he's excited to coach a player he "hated playing against" and is excited for the team's "nasty" demeanor this upcoming season.
Barnes will make just over $3.5 million this season.
