Woman arrested, another at large after 2 Whitehaven houses shot at

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Twenty-year-old Tameka Sesson is behind bars, charged with 28 counts of aggravated assault and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Sesson got into an argument with Jaymichael Carbins.

Investigators said she left and came back for revenge Sunday, along with Dyterious Owens and a loaded gun.

According to the affidavit, Owens fired several shots, striking Carbins.

"I thought he was dead,” a 19-year-old friend of Carbins said. "I shed a tear, but when I got up to him, he told me to help him. He said he [was] hurting."

Bullet holes are visible in his home days after the incident.

After riddling that house with bullets, Owens opened fire on another house down the street.

People in both houses ranged in age from 3-weeks-old to 81-years-old.

The 19-year-old, who did not want to share his name, said Carbins is doing okay.

"You couldn't hear,” he said. “Like my sister and them, they was just screaming. You couldn't hear the gun shots over the screaming."

Memphis police said Owens is still at large.

Sesson is in jail on a $750,000 bond.
