Collierville Municipal Schools receive top marks in TCAP testing

Collierville Municipal Schools announced it received a level 5 status from the Tennessee Department of Education following last year’s student TCAP tests. 

Districts are ranked on a 1 – 5 level, with level 5 being the highest. In a press release, the district announced that Collierville Municipal Schools met and exceeded all Annual Measurable Objectives (AMO’s) in math, among many other subjects. 

The majority of Collierville schools met state standards in reading and language arts, but the district and state had a slight decrease this year in those two areas. 

75.1 percent of 3rd - 8th graders scored proficient/advanced in Reading/Language Arts. 

The district score was a 1.1 percent decrease from 2014, it was 26.7 percent above the Tennessee state average. 

The state average for 2015 was also a 1.1 percent decrease from the 2014 average.
