According to Shelby County Schools, two schools under scrutiny for possible cheating on the 2014 TCAP test were cleared.

In early July, state test examiners said that a high number of answers were erased and changed to right answers at both Alcy and LaRose Elementary Schools.

The Tennessee Department of Education said that they reviewed the testing and security procedures at both schools.

At Alcy Elementary, TDOE investigators found that teachers and staff followed the proper procedures to ensure the security of testing documents and materials.

At LaRose Elementary, investigators couldn't find any documentation from the 2014 test due to a change in school leadership.  However, TDOE officials interviewed staff present during the 2014 exam and decided that all staff members were properly trained on testing procedures.

Thursday, TDOE cleared both schools when they were unable to find evidence of cheating at either school.

SCS was one of only three districts statewide flagged for an audit.
