Ole Miss, Arkansas and Tennessee ranked in preseason top 25

Ole Miss, Tennessee and Arkansas were given coveted spots in the preseason USA Today coaches poll.

The Rebels, despite the uncertainty of a new quarterback taking over for departed Senior Bo Wallace, are ranked 15th preseason coming off a 9-4 campaign.

The Arkansas Razorbacks return a pair of 1,000-yard rushers and a veteran quarterback in Brandon Allen.

The Hogs are ranked 20th, the first time the Razorbacks are nationally ranked under head coach Bret Bielema.

Tennessee, in coach Butch Jones' third season in Knoxville, is ranked preseason for the first time since 2008, coming in Number 25. It's also the first time since 2012 Tennessee is ranked in any poll. 

UT coming off a breakout 7-6 season which ended with a bowl victory.

Mississippi State is not ranked in the poll, even with record-setting quarterback Dak Prescott returning for his senior season.

8 SEC teams are ranked in the top 25.
