MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A daughter is desperately searching for answers after the disappearance of her mother.

“It’s a struggle. It’s a struggle every day," said Shelbie Fuller. "When I see my friend’s talk about their mothers. Earlier today, I seen this young daughter and her mother in front of me. I’m thinking, 'where’s my Mom?'”

She hasn’t seen her mother since she disappeared 8 months ago. She said her mother has $2 thousand in a bank account that has not been touched.  Fuller said she and her family have searched everywhere.

She doesn't believe her mother would ever leave her six children and grandchildren.

Carie Zapletal went missing from her home on Santaolina Drive where she lived with her husband and one of her six children, along with a stepdaughter.

Zapletal’s husband told police his wife Carie walked out of the house on a very cold day in December last year. She did not have a coat or her purse. She did not take her car. That is the last time her family saw her.

Zapletal’s husband did file a missing person’s report. He told police his wife was depressed. However, her daughter said she was not depressed.

Carie Zapletal is 49-years-old. She is 4 feet 11 inches and weighs 120 pounds. Police said they have no new information on the case.
