Memphis Police officers were in tears as they dropped off flowers and a toy pony to the site where fellow officer Sean Bolton was shot during a traffic stop.

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified witnessed it.

"When I went outside, I saw nobody anywhere. No cars moving, nobody walking, nothing. I looked down, and I saw the police officer lying there in the driveway. He wasn't moving."

She called 911, but could not get through. Her neighbor also tried 911, but couldn't get through either. That is when one man took action.

"The young man told the officer, he said 'Sir, I'm not trying to hurt you or bother you or anything, I'm just trying to help you; I need your police radio because 911 is busy,'" she recalled.

Her neighbor used the officer's radio to call for an ambulance. He could be heard from the scanner saying "Please, please hurry up, Summerlane, he's shot."

The woman said she will never forget what she saw.

"That was the most horrific thing I have ever seen. I've never seen anything like that in my life. It was terrifying just to see that."
