MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The Memphis Fire Department Station 35 B-Shift on South Mendenhall is honoring fallen MPD Officer Sean Bolton.

Bolton was shot and killed this weekend while making a traffic stop.

Memphis Fire Department released photos on Monday of a memorial outside Station 35.

It’s a simple, yet powerful memorial. A black wooden sign with a blue line painted in the middle. The number 364D posted in the middle. That was Officer Bolton’s car number.

The firefighters used their own money to build the memorial in the Fox Meadows community as a sign of solidarity with the Memphis Police Department.
