MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The person who helps investigators find the man suspected of shooting and killing a Memphis police officer could receive more than $40,000.

Memphis city councilman Kemp Conrad said the Memphis community has already raised $41,500. He hopes to have more than $50,000 by the end of the day Monday.

He said he and Memphis CAO Jack Sammons have been calling around, asking people to donate to the Crime Stoppers reward fund.

He hopes the increased reward money will help coax people to come forward with any information about where Tremaine Wilbourn is hiding.

Police said Wilbourn shot and killed officer Sean Bolton on Saturday.

Anyone wanting to donate to the reward fund can contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH and make sure to earmark the money for this specific case.
