MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A 19-year-old was indicted on first-degree murder charges and five counts of attempted first-degree murder Tuesday.

According to the Office of Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich, Aaron Harper is accused of firing shots at a car in Parkway Village on February 7.

Just before 11 p.m., five people were driving to a party in the 4800 block of North Winchester circle when their car was hit by gunshots.  A 22-year-old woman was injured in the shooting.

When police arrived on the scene, they found 47-year-old Essic Woodard lying unresponsive in the street.  Investigators said they do not believe Woodard was traveling with the group.

Woodard died at the hospital from his injuries.

Investigators later determined Harper was one of the suspected shooters. He was arrested in April and indicted Tuesday.
