Two girls are recovering in the hospital after a tree fell on their house Wednesday night.

"All of a sudden, I heard a strong wind came, and I heard something start crashing. Branches and stuff started falling, and then I heard a big boom on the front porch," the girls' father, Lee Holley, said.

It all happened on Willis Street during last night's storms.  Holley said his two daughters, 4-year-old Jamiracle and 3-year-old Alicia, were sleeping when the tree crashed through their bedroom.

"I jumped up and ran in there to get my kids. They were sleep," he said. "I got them because debris was all over them, and I didn't know if something had fell on them or if they were dead or what."

Active power lines were draped across the home.

The family took both girls to Le Bonheur Children's hospital to be checked out; they are expected to be OK.

The family is reaching out to Red Cross for help. Holley said they lost nearly everything to water damage.

"We don't know what to do," said Holley. "We can't go back in there. We're trying to find a place to stay."
