MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Elvis Presley fans are flocking to Memphis for the annual Elvis Week celebration.

Every year, millions of people tour Graceland, and one of the most popular times to visit is the second week in August. That is because the week leading up to August 16 is filled with Elvis tributes.

Elvis died August 16, 1977.

This year is no different. Tribute artists will perform, a Forever Stamp will be unveiled, fans will bid on classic Elvis memorabilia, and much more throughout the week.

It all culminates Saturday night/Sunday morning with a candlelight vigil. People will walk from the gates of Graceland to Elvis' grave site for hours to honor and pay respects to the man who invented rock n' roll.
