Biker Dad: Bikers flex their muscle in the fight against muscular dystrophy

COLLIERVILLE, TN (WMC) -

The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Bumpus Harley Davidson Collierville, The Ghost River Chapter of the Harley Owners Group and nearly 100 bikers flexed their muscle Saturday. The first MDA poker run raised enough money to send 3 MDA kids to camp, and raised awareness to help fight the disease.

"Just the number of people here," said Stacie Al-Chokhachi, mother of 11-year-old Dalton, who has muscular dystrophy. "And how warm and fuzzy it is. Like Dalton said, bikers tend to kind of intimidate some folks, because you think of them as rough, tough, not so warm and fuzzy guys. But they're all extremely kind, smiling, high-fiving and it's been very very nice."

"Harley is a big sponsor of MDA and we're happy to be a part of it. We are proud to be part of it," Said Tim Bumpus of Bumpus Harley-Davidson Collierville.

There was food, live music, and balloon animals after the ride. About 65 MDA kids also got a special Harley Davidson Build-A-Bear.

On its Facebook page, Bumpus-Collierville wrote:
