SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC) -

A pregnant woman and her aunt were hit by a truck following a Tim McGraw concert at Snowden Grove.

Wile walking down Nail Road, both women heard a commotion coming from behind them. When they looked back, they saw a truck tearing through a ditch on the side of the road and heading right toward them.

"We saw dark colored truck headlights coming out of the ditch," Bonnie Conway said.

It was a sight they said they never want to see again.

The truck went through the ditch, swerving and eventually ending up back on the road, hitting both women from behind.

"I’m laying there on the ground and the first thing that goes through my mind is I’m pregnant. I’m pregnant," Danielle Gossett said.

Gossett is 15 weeks pregnant. The baby survived the impact and Gossett came out with bruises, but her aunt fractured her ribs, breast bone, and foot.

What bothers Gossett the most is that whoever was driving the truck continued to drive away, leaving both women in the street.

"If I turned another way, if we were placed any differently, if that truck came from any other angle, we wouldn't have our baby anymore," Gossett said.

That is something that has haunted both women since that night.

"We worked a long time for this baby. We prayed a long time for this baby. If I didn't turn my back or turned in any other direction, I don't know if we would still have my baby," Gossett said.

Now, they said they need your help.

"It’s depressing and sad to know someone can care about another human being so little," Conway said.

There are no surveillance cameras in the area, but there were thousands of people leaving the concert. The family is hoping that someone will see this story and jog their memory to help them find the driver.
