Tamara Douglas cannot believe someone would murder her neighbor Edward Miller.

“That’s terrible,” Douglas said. “I mean it’s horrible. I’m just really shocked.”

Investigators said Miller was shot multiple times.

“Occasionally I’d see him out in his yard. Haven’t seen him in quite a while,” neighbor Henry Pritchett said.

Miller’s body was discovered a week ago in a field by a road in Tipton County more than 30 miles from his Whitehaven home. Investigators believe his body had been in that spot for several days.

Miller’s family reported him missing the same day his body was discovered. Miller’s 2013 white Ford 150 pickup with Tennessee tag L03 23Z is still missing.

Tipton County investigators said family members last saw Miller August 5 when he left in his truck. It is not known where he went or how he ended up in Tipton County, a place where relatives said he does not know anyone.

If you know anything about Miller’s murder call investigators in Tipton County deputies or Memphis police.
