Ford Freestyle: One Vehicle, Endless Possibilities

Ford Freestyle

One Vehicle, Endless Possibilities

Not sure if you need a car or SUV? Looking for the benefits of both in a single vehicle? Introducing the 2005 Freestyle – an adventure automobile invented specifically for today's new family. Ford incorporated the drive and comfort of a car into the flexible room and all-weather capability of an SUV to create a new class of vehicle for a new generation. Freestyle has the most room in the class for both people and cargo.

Designed for people on the go, the 2005 Freestyle can accommodate all the roles you play – whether it be commuter, cottager, consumer or even coach – with a new take on comfort, flexibility and remarkably smart features:

  • Standard fold-flat seating enables you to create several different seating configurations to transport people, cargo and everything in-between
  • 2nd- and 3rd-row passengers ride in comfort with more leg room than any other vehicle in its class – making travel more enjoyable
  • Convenient driver- and passenger-friendly spaces include a hinged bin on the top of the instrument panel that's perfect for pens, maps or cell phones; center floor console is large enough to hold CDs; and door panels feature water-bottle holders and big storage pockets
  • Command Seating situates the front seats atop a cross-cabin reinforcement, providing you with a vantage point that's SUV-like; higher seating position also makes it easier to get in and out – letting you just step in without having to step up or lower yourself down
  • New Side Protection And Cabin Enhancement (SPACE Architecture) is designed to channel frontal, rear and side-impact collision forces away from the passenger compartment – as well as away from you – in the crucial first milliseconds of a crash
  • Utilizing a network of smart sensors, the standard Personal Safety System customizes the deployment level of the dual-stage airbags based on: whether a front passenger is present and his/her weight range; the position of the driver's seat; whether the front safety belts are in use; and the overall severity of the impact; the system will also turn off the passenger air bag if there's something (or someone) small on the passenger seat or if the seat is unoccupied

Freestyle is designed with more than just good looks. It's purposefully designed with innovative and thoughtful features that make drive time more enjoyable whether you're behind the wheel or enjoying the comfort of one of the rear seats.
