Shelby County District Attorney's Office received an 800-plus page report detailing evidence in the shooting of Darrius Stewart.

Stewart died when a Memphis police officer shot him during a confrontation July 17.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spent more than a month investigating, and now has delivered a full report to DA Amy Weirich.

Weirich and her staff will review the report to determine if charges should be filed against MPD Officer Connor Schilling, 26.

"The TBI has done a thorough and exhaustive report and I will carefully review the report in the same detailed manner," Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich said. "Obviously, there is a great deal of public interest in this matter, as there should be. I have no timetable, but I will move as quickly as a fair and thorough review of the report allows."

"[It's] a big relief that they are finally openly telling us where they are in the case," Ashley Caldwell said.

According to MPD, Officer Schilling pulled over the car Stewart was riding in because it had a broken headlight. He ticketed the driver, but found that Stewart had several warrants for his arrest.

Schilling said he was trying to handcuff Stewart when the 19-year-old kicked the door and attacked him.

He said Stewart was able to grab his handcuffs and swing them at him. That is when Schilling said he grabbed his gun and shot Stewart to end the fight.

A witness captured this fight between stewart and the officer before the teen was killed.  The question now - was the officer justified?

"With Amy Weirich having the report now, there will more likely be more transparency about the entire case," Caldwell said.

Schilling is relieved of duty pending the outcome of the shooting investigation.
