Critical shooting, home invasion at Willow Oaks apartments

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis police investigated two incidents at Willow Oaks apartments on Ketchum Road Wednesday night.

Officers made the scene in the 2600 block of Ketchum Road. Officers saw three men walking in front of Airways Middle School. One of the men was bleeding from his face and back.

The man told police he was hit in the face and shot. He was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The two other men were detained following the investigation.

A witness told police she saw a man shooting near the 2400 block of Ketchum, around the time a home invasion happened. The witness then identified the man who was shot as the person who shot at and attempted to rob another man.

Another witness told police he saw three men armed outside of his home and another man calling for help. The other man ran inside his residence. The witness said he then heard two shots ring out.

Officers found a cell phone and a gun under a Jeep near the scene.

All three men, witnesses, and a possible victim were taken to 201 Poplar Felony Response.
