MEMPHIS, TN (NBC) -

A 79-year-old Memphis woman is finally getting the peace that she's been waiting for. The man convicted of robbing and attacking her inside of her Memphis home is scheduled to be sentenced Monday morning.

Wilma Green testified against William Heath during the trail last month. She said Heath knocked on her door and asked to use her restroom. She said he ended up cutting her with her own butcher knife as he forced her to give him all the money she had.

"He went crazy on me," said Green.

Green said she knew Heath and saw him as like a son.

"He used to wear my son's clothes because he didn't have any decent clothes," said Green.

The robbery happened at Green's home on Carrington Avenue in Orange Mound in March of 2013.

"He stabbed me right there. And I cut both of my hands trying to push him away," said Green.

Green told WMC Action News 5 she does not forgive her attacker and wants him to stay behind bars forever.

She wants her situation be a reminder for others to be more careful. "Keep your door locked and watch," said Green.

A jury found Heath guilty of especially aggravated robbery and aggravated assault on July 30, 2015.

Heath will appear before a judge Monday morning to find out how many years he'll spend behind bars. He could face a maximum sentence of up to 55 years in prison.
