Biker Dad: Campaign urges "Watch for Motorcycles"

There have been at least 4 deadly motorcycle accidents in the Mid-South this month. Saturday bikers hit the streets to urge drivers to "Please Watch Out For Motorcycles."

The Motorcycle Awareness Campaign, Blues City Victory Riders and Frank Barton of Barton Power Sports spent four hours on the corner of Poplar Avenue and South Highland Street in Memphis Saturday standing instead of riding. They were holding up bright yellow signs with that message on them.

The Motorcycle Awareness Campaign urges motorcycle safety and that includes a message for those driving cars that looking twice could save a life.

Barton and the MAC are asking members of each of the Mid-South's motorcycle clubs to pick a weekend to stage the awareness sign holding events each month somewhere in the Memphis area.

Be careful out there, and please follow me on social media.
