MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The newly opened I-40 eastbound overpass in Memphis faces its first weekday commute test.

Monday drivers will test out the newly finished TDOT project.

The overpass is the tallest in the state of Tennessee, at a height of 95 feet.

TDOT said the entire project will cost nearly $110 million after completion.

Saturday, one lane of the I-40 eastbound overpass opened. It will remain one lane until the Wolf River Bridge construction is completed.
