MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two brothers have been convicted of rape and robbery involving an attack on three women.

Criminal Court jury convicted Devan Denton, 27, and Leon Denton, 25, of three counts of aggravated rape, one count of facilitation of rape and three counts of facilitation of aggravated robbery.

"The two men will be sentenced on October 5 by Judge James Lammey, Jr. This comes after their bonds were revoked following the verdicts on Thursday," Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich said.

The women testified they met the men in a club parking lot early on Oct. 16, 2011 in Southeast Memphis, then they all went to an apartment in the 3000 block of Mount Moriah Road where the attack occurred.

One woman was severely beaten with a handgun, which caused a fractured eye socket and other serious injuries.

The case was handled by Assistant District Attorney Josh Corman of the DA’s Special Victims Unit, which prosecutes cases of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse of child victims; rape and aggravated rape of adult victims, and abuse of elderly and vulnerable adults.

Another man, Antonio Howard, was convicted in the case last year and was sentenced to 154 years in prison. Two other co-defendants have pending cases.
