MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

An up-and-coming Memphis rapper spent the morning at 201 Poplar answering for marijuana possession.

Adolph Thornton, also known as Young Dolph, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

He was pulled over on Airways Boulevard because his 2015 Rolls Royce did not have proper tag information.

Officers found marijuana in the car with Thornton.

Wednesday morning Thornton posted a picture of himself outside 201 Poplar with the caption, "I'm starting my day wit a blunt of cookies."

In court, Thornton pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He paid a $250 fine and went on his way.

Thornton is 30 years old. He's released two albums under Gucci Mane's record label.

His biggest hit "Pulled Up" features another Memphis rapper, Juicy J.
