Tennessee suspends defensive tackle Danny O'Brien

With a huge game on the horizon in Knoxville against Oklahoma, the University of Tennessee suspended starting defensive tackle Danny O'Brien.

Head coach Butch Jones said there is no timetable for the junior's return. O'Brien had two tackles and a sack last week against Bowling Green in the Vols 59-30 victory.

Jones also said injuries will keep safety Max Arnold and return specialist Ralph Abernathy out against the 19-ranked Sooners.

"We need to get better in a hurry," Jones said. "We have a football team coming in here that's skilled, very big, physical, an imposing offensive line. Three running backs that are as good as any three running backs in the country."

The number 23 Vols kick off against Oklahoma Saturday at 5 p.m. at Neyland Stadium.
