MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A Memphis police officer was indicted on an aggravated sexual battery charge Friday.

Officer Eric Lee, 46, faces aggravated sexual battery and other charges from an incident last November in Downtown Memphis.

A 38-year-old woman accused Lee of sexual assault.

According to the district attorney's office, the woman was waiting on her husband to get off work from a restaurant near South Main Street and Peabody Place when Lee assaulted her. This happened November 10, 2014.

Lee has been an officer with MPD since February of 2009. He was relieved of duty with pay on September 3.

In January 2014, Lee's girlfriend said he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her out of a house.

Lee was also one of the seven officers suspended for a fight following the murder of Officer Tim Warren in 2011.

Lee faces additional charges of official misconduct and official oppression.
