MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Police are searching for a man accused of stabbing another man.

Tuesday, officers found the victim, 20-year-old Markle Polk, at the hospital with a stab wound. They were told Polk was stabbed in the 700 block of Carpenter Street but was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Polk later died from his injuries at the hospital.

Investigators soon named 35-year-old Larry Lurry as the suspect. They said Lurry was fighting with a woman when Polk tried to intervene. Police said that Lurry then reportedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Polk.

An arrest warrant was issued for Larry Lurry.  He is wanted for first-degree murder.

No arrests have been made.
