Biker Dad: Bikes and bikinis for babies

Bikes and bikinis helped raise money for babies Saturday. Advance Muffler and Rubilo's Sidecar held a bikini bike and car wash to benefit kids like 9 year-old Tyler West and his cousin 9 year-old cousin Alyssa. Both were diagnosed with childhood cancer and received treatment from St. Jude hospital. Tyler was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which is a cancer of the blood. Alyssa was diagnosed with pediatric melanoma. Thankfully Tyler's latest tests show he is cancer free. "He's a St. Jude survivor," his mother Michelle West exclaimed. "We have a strong faith and belief in the research and what goes on at the hospital, how they dedicate their lives to helping children," she told me.

Whitney Wozniczka was one of the young women from Advance Muffler braving the relatively chilly mid-seventies temperatures to wash the cars and bikes in her bathing suit. Her own brother was also diagnosed with childhood cancer. "We all know that cancer is tough, especially on the younger ones. We're hoping for a really great turnout today. We hope we raise as much money as possible for Tyler."
