The clock is ticking in the Senator John Ford ethics investigation

The clock is ticking in the Senator John Ford ethics investigation. The Tennessee Senate Ethics Committee is looking into complaints made against Senator John Ford has ordered him to turn over his income tax records. Ford said he'd bring those forms to committee members Monday. One complaint filed centers on the wedding of Senator Ford's daughter. Senator Ford used money from his campaign account to help pay for the event. That's not allowed under election laws. Barry Schmittou filed an ethics complaint against Ford and claims there are accountability problems across the board. Schmittou said, "This is being condoned by the legislature, every one up there, because they won't take any action themselves," Schmittou says Senator Ford also violated state rules when he accepted $237,000 from a TennCare subcontractor. State senators are heading home tonight for a long weekend.
