President Bush is scheduled to bring his "conversation on Social Security" to Tennessee next week, the White House announced. The Friday visit will be part of a cross-country trip aimed at strengthening public support for the president's plans for overhauling Social Security. White House spokesman Taylor Gross said Bush will hold a "conversation" with the public at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Memphis. Tickets for the event will be handed out by citizens' groups interested in Social Security, Gross said. The distribution system will set up a few days before the president's visit. Bush is scheduled to speak in Louisville and Montgomery, Ala., on Thursday before traveling to Memphis. Part of the president's plan calls for letting younger workers set up personal retirement accounts with a portion of Social Security taxes.
