NABJ to hold regional conference in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The National Association of Black Journalists will hold its Region III conference in Memphis this spring.

The conference is scheduled for April 8-10.  This year's theme is "Race Matters:  Looking Back, Moving Forward".

Organizers said the conference will examine the impact race has had on recent coverage issues from police shootings to the upcoming elections.

The conference will offer opportunities to network with journalists, public relations professionals and entrepreneurs.    The conference will offer workshops, interactive producer/reporter boot camps and tape critiques.  This year's conference will also feature a special two-part IRE workshop focused on the latest advances in investigative reporting.
