MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Your gently-used prom dresses could help provide a memorable night for deserving young ladies who would otherwise not be able to participate in the prom.

Oak Court Mall has teamed up with Brown Girl Dreams to present the 2016 Memphis Prom Closet. The mission is to provide prom dresses free of charge to high school seniors. Brown Girl Dreams will sponsor girls from Northside High School, Douglass High School, Soulsville Charter School and Hollis F. Price Middle College in Memphis.

Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently worn prom dresses, shoes and accessories to the Guest Services booth near the Food Court at Oak Court Mall. Donations are being collected until March 4, Monday through Friday from Noon to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from Noon to 7 p.m.

For more information, please contact Brown Girl Dreams at (901) 213-7648 or visit http://www.browngirldreams.org/.
