MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - High winds may have intensified a house fire in Covington Monday night.
Firefighters said 75 percent of the home on Robert Johnson Road was burning by the time they arrived just before 10:15 p.m.
They said the flames quickly spread because of the strong wind.
Though firefighters believed children may have been trapped in the house, everyone that was inside the home escaped unharmed.
The Covington Fire Department urged all residents to keep heaters away from flammable objects and make sure your home has working smoke detectors.
