Grizzlies dominate Nets in first game without Gasol

Brooklyn, NY (WMC) - No Marc Gasol? No problem.

At least for one night, the Grizzlies were able to get a huge win without their All-Pro center, who is out indefinitely with a broken foot. Memphis went to Brooklyn and defeated the Nets 109-90.

Zach Randolph got the start at center in place of Gasol, scoring 15 points on five-of-12 shooting.

Mike Conley led the way for Memphis, scoring a game-high 20 points after saying he would need to take a bigger role in the Grizzlies' offense in light of Gasol's broken foot.

The Grizzlies got solid contributions from Jeff Green off the bench (18 points) and from new starter JaMychal Green, who scored a season-high 13.

The Grizzlies spread the wealth, with each player outside Matt Barnes playing at least 20 minutes and no player over 30.

Vince Carter even turned back the clock with this dunk:

Brooklyn was led by 20 points from big man Brook Lopez, and got a goose egg from guard Joe Johnson, who missed all three of his shots and did not score.

The Grizzlies improved to 31-22 as they have officially hit the All-Star break. They will not play again until February 19 when they face Minnesota at the FedExForum.
