HOUSTON, TX (WMC) - The Memphis Tigers blew an eight-point halftime lead and lost to Houston, 98-90.
The Tigers jumped out to a nice lead but were dominated in the second half despite solid efforts from their stars Dedric Lawson and Shaq Goodwin.
Goodwin shot 7-for-16 from the field and scored a team-high 24 points while Lawson tallied a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Tiger defense again let them down, surrendering 98 points to the Cougars, including 34 from forward Devonta Pollard.
The Tigers dropped to just 14-10 on the season and are now under .500 in the American conference at 5-6. Their next contest will be against Tulane on Sunday.
