MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis football head coach Mike Norvell has added two new coaches to his staff.
Mark Bonis has been hired as the director of player personnel. Kenny Dillingham will join as a graduate assistant working with quarterbacks.
Bonis has coached at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans since 2006, coaching football and track. He took over as the head football coach in 2009 and led his team to the Louisiana Division I semifinals in 2014 and the quarterfinals in 2015.
Bonis was a finalist for the NFL/New Orleans Saints Coach of the Year in 2014 when his Crusaders set school records for yards, points and rushing touchdowns.
In his time at BMHS, six out of Bonis' seven teams appeared in the playoffs. He ranks second all-time in school wins.
Bonis played linebacker at Southern Miss from 1997-2000 and led his team to two Conference USA Championships and two Liberty Bowl wins. He graduated from Southern Miss in 2002 and received his Master's Degree in 2004.
Dillingham has spent the last two seasons at Arizona State. In 2014, he worked with tight ends and assisted with recruiting and was a graduate assistant in 2015. Before that, he was an assistant football coach at Charparral High School in Arizona.
