Our Chief Investigative Reporter Andy Wise has uncovered disturbing evidence.

Memphis-based agents and notaries are getting car tags for legal and undocumented immigrants living in Shelby County by going into Mississippi Counties.

The evidence shows they do this by using post office boxes instead of a permanent address.

I thought it was interesting that Tate County Tax Collector Ernie Brents found a way to put a stop to this in his county.

Brents and his clerks require that the person getting the tag must have a physical Mississippi address. They can't use a post office box.

It seems like a simple fix -- right?

I can't figure out why all tax collectors wouldn't implement this immediately.

Stopping the flow of Mississippi car tags for Shelby County drivers will make this A Better Mid-South.
