Police arrested a man accused of killing his girlfriend.
According to the police report, the 32-year-old woman and her boyfriend, Kelvin Brown, were fighting in their home on Old Bailey Road. After the fight, Brown called 911 and asked for an ambulance because his girlfriend wasn't breathing.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the woman on the dining room floor and pronounced her dead on the scene. The medical examiner said she died as a result of blunt-force trauma.
Later, Brown told police he repeatedly kicked and punched his girlfriend while pinning her against the wall of their home. Evidence suggested the attack happened over the course of several hours.
Brown is charged with first-degree murder.
