(WMC) - You can now get an Uber motorcycle. Well, if you live in or visit Bangkok, Thailand you can anyway. Uber made the announcement that the they've opened up the market to motorcycles through a press release that reads:
The service started Wednesday morning. It's called UberMoto and reportedly rides start at 28 cents, then tack on more charges for miles and time. This might sound a bit wild to American bikers, but motorcycles are an incredibly popular way of getting around in the congested city.
No word yet on when it will roll out in other cities, but I'm not sure how it would go over in the U.S. I don't think most people here are going to trust a stranger's motorcycling skills when it comes to their lives. But who knows, it could end up being "uber" popular.
