MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A mother of five said her family has been living in the cold after a car crashed through her home.
Sheno Jones said she has waited nine days for the management at Wilson Townhomes to fix the problem.
She said she has been staring at a boarded up hole in the side of her apartment at Wilson Townhomes since February 16.
"Someone was trying to teach a young lady how to drive, and she drove straight through the wall," Jones said.
She said management vowed to fix the hole in three days.
There is a crack between the board and the ground. These past few cold nights, Jones said she and her children, including her 1-month-old baby, have been forced to bundle up.
"We have to have on coats, jackets. I have a new born baby. I have to bundle him up real good," Jones said.
A manager from the Wilson Townhomes said the brick to fix Jones' town home just arrived, but argued that the board is sufficient and didn't leave this family out in the cold.
Jones said not only is her family cold, they are at their wits' end.
"It's stressful and I'm stressed out. I don't know what else to do," Jones said.
The city zoning manager will have a crew of inspectors at the home Friday to get the job done.
