5 Great Things: 'Key of She,' Stax Music Academy

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - It's always a great week in the Mid-South. Here are five things that really stood out this week.

White Station High's "Key of She" a capella group, winners of an international a capella semifinal, was invited to the finals in New York City and a performance at Carnegie Hall in March.

Fortune Magazine and FedEx

Fortune Magazine named Memphis-based FedEx the eighth most admired company in the world, as well as the most admired company in the delivery and shipping industry.

The Highland Church of Christ on North Houston Levee in Cordova is hosting a children's clothing sale this weekend until 1 p.m. Saturday. All sales will benefit several Mid-South charities.

Stax Music Academy's 'Memphis to Motown'

Stax Music Academy celebrated Black History Month with a look at two soul music power houses. "Memphis to Motown" included a live musical performance, as well as a comparison and contrast between the sounds of Motown and Stax.

FedEx swooped in to help a Memphis 2-year-old get to Chicago for a liver transplant when weather canceled more than 700 flights. Brooklyn Faris and her parents got to the Windy City aboard a cargo plane free of charge.
