MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

The officer shot in the face in mid-February is still recovering at Regional Medical Center, but his family said he has now had a setback.

Corporal Derrick Couch has received a lot of support from the law enforcement community after being shot while on the job, responding to a burglary.

His father now says he is back on a ventilator again.

"His children are calling everyday wondering when he's coming home," his father said. "He's responding a little bit, he's not talking, but he can squeeze your hand and stuff like that."

Two men have been charged in connection with the shooting. Leandrew Booker was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Johnny Robinson, the man investigators believe pulled the trigger, is charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.

Counch's father said his son and family have had tremendous support.

"It let you know prayers are answered and being answered. I was real happy," his father said.
