Man arrested for Cooper Young robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police have arrested a man for aggravated robbery in the Cooper Young area.

Cordero Tyus, 28, has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.

According to police, officers responded to a robbery in the 1000 block of South Cooper Street. Police were told by two female victims that they were walking to their vehicle and were approached by a man once they got to their car.

The man then pointed a weapon at them and demanded money at the threat of killing them.

He ran away with items belonging to the women.

No one was injured in the robbery.
