MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A big blown lead almost sunk the Grizzlies, but they were able to pull through and dethrone the Kings in Memphis.
A poor third quarter saw the Grizzlies 16-point halftime lead shrink to just five, but the Grizzlies were able to get over 100 points yet again for the 104-98 win over Sacramento.
Mike Conley scored a game-high 24 points to lead the way for Memphis, while Zach Randolph added 19 to go with eight rebounds. JaMychal Green and Mario Chalmers each chipped in 15 points off the bench.
The Grizzlies were unable to contain DeMarcus Cousins, who had a monster double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Likewise, Rajon Rondo's 17 assists were just three less than the Grizzlies' total as a team.
Nonetheless, the Grizzlies came away with the win and improved to 36-24 on the season with an impressive 22-9 record at the Grindhouse.
The Grizzlies will take the court again in Memphis on Friday against the Utah Jazz.
