Police: Suspect arrested after KFC robbery attempt

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man has been arrested for the attempted robbery at Kentucky Fried Chicken near the Highland Strip.

Police arrested Lee Jackson after he was positively identified by KFC employees.

Jackson held up the store at gunpoint just before it was supposed to close at 9 p.m. on Friday. 

Police on the scene said Jackson made everyone get down on the floor, but was quickly caught by police because police were apparently already in the area.

Jackson was taken into custody and no one was injured. He is charged with criminal attempt aggravated robbery.
