MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Police believe two separate men have sexually assaulted victims at different locations within the past week in Memphis.
Police released photos of the two men they believe are responsible for sexually assaulting two different women at two different Memphis stores in the past week. However, they have one thing in common. They both have the same criminal intent.
One of the assaults happened at the Burlington Coat Factory on Stage Road. Customers were shocked to hear of the assault.
"That's very shocking. That's very shocking," Damon Ross said. "I'm glad you brought that to my attention cause I got a wife who shops a lot and I'd sure hate for someone to grope her, cause that's kind of scary."
Investigators said the man approached a 23-year-old employee and inappropriately touched her at the Burlington Coat Factory. He then followed the victim throughout the business as she looked for help.
The man is described as 5'6'', weighing 150 to 180 pounds.
A week later, police said a man entered Gordon's Foods in the 3200 block of Thomas Street.
Police said the 45-year-old woman told officers a man walked up to her while she was inside Gordon's Food grocery in the 3200 block of Thomas Street. She said the man walked up behind her, grabbed her shoulders, and inappropriately touched her.
In the second case, a 23-year-old woman told police a man fondled her in the 4000 block of Stage Road.
No arrests have been made in this case. Anyone with information that could help police should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
